About the Role:
Serving as an integral member of the senior leadership team, the VP of Marketing is responsible for the development of G Adventures global marketing team which includes brand management/partnerships, brand architecture, account management/marketing services, creative/design, and communications. This will be done through planning, engagement, and providing direction to the team. This individual will also be the liaison between our regional marketing teams & performance marketing to ensure needs are met to drive growth consistent with our multi year strategy and work cross functionally with our product team to align marketing content and travel style positioning.

G Adventures prides itself on marketing through storytelling, this role will champion that responsibility through running our creative agency to provide dedicated content that exemplifies our brand and engages our customer.
- This is a hybrid role with some days required in-office (19 Charlotte St, Toronto)

Goals:
To achieve G Adventure’s multi-year operating plan and annual financial objectives

Ensure Marketing initiatives are prioritized through this lens

Accountable for global marketing budget

Creating a strong culture within the Global Marketing team and throughout the organization

Amplify the G Adventures Brand verse the industry

Uncover and identify innovative ways of bringing our trips to market, including new brand partnerships, Tourism Boards opportunities, and/or new products/trips to explore and pursue which resonate with our customer and which will continue to differentiate us from the competition

Ensure marketing projects are delivered within the agreed upon timeframe

What You’ll be Doing:
- Brand Vision: Working with Senior Leadership (Founder, President & CEO of G Adventures, Creative Director, Managing Directors within Regions, VP of Performance Marketing, and other key stakeholders) to update and create strategy and architecture that is consistent with our Muli-year plan.- Brand Management: Working with the Director of Marketing on our different travel styles to ensure each is serving its defined market segment. This also includes our Brand Partnerships, which are National Geographic Journeys, Jane Goodall Collection, and Roamies with Hostelworld.- Account Management/Marketing Services: Working with your Director of Marketing and Creative Director to ensure projects are prioritized and delivered.- Communications: Working with our Global Communications lead, Regional PR Teams, and Talent team to ensure external and internal communications are aligned and represent our Brand.- Engagement: Ensure collaboration, communication and leadership are provided both within your direct team, as well as our Global organization.- Operational Management: Oversee operational strategy of fiscal and quarterly planning (at departmental level), including oversight of budget planning and management, process and governance, vendor management and reporting. Including management and ongoing maintenance/process updates of Marketing Platform Systems

Desires Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, travel and tourism, or a related field- 15+ years of demonstrated experience in marketing leadership and/or product marketing on either the client or agency side, working within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment. Experience within a global company is an asset- 10+ years experience managing a team, with a proven record of motivating, inspiring, and getting the best out of his/her people- 5+ in a Senio
