**Tube Preparation**
- Starts at $30.12/hour and is expected to progress (3 steps) to fully qualified rate of: $35.43/hr._

We have opportunities (10 openings) for you to join our production team as a Tube Preparation at our facility in **Cambridge, Ontario**. Each member of our team plays a critical role in BWXT Canada’s success and in ensuring we meet our customers’ quality, cost and delivery expectations. PRIMARY FUNCTION:
To perform all tube preparation and bending functions.

**Tasks**:

- Read and understand applicable documents and check-off sheets. Develop floor layout; check floor layout; set-up, plan and organize bending process; identify and verify work piece material.
- Layout work piece using shop drawings, load work piece; bend work piece.
- Remove work piece; perform layout check; perform adjustment procedures; recheck to layout.
- Demonstrate good workmanship and practices.
- Communicate effectively with internal team members (i.e. peers, production leadership, Project Management, Engineering) as well as customer representatives.
- Work in a safe manner, complying with all health, safety and environmental guidelines/regulations.
- Understand and adhere to quality requirements and productivity expectations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Proven commitment to workplace safety.
- Previous experience in a heavy manufacturing environment would be a definite asset.
- Fitting knowledge is a definite asset.
- Intermediate level understanding of blueprint reading.
- Demonstrated ability to perform mathematical calculations in relation to positional dimensions for products and tooling.
- Proficient with computer software.
- Commitment to quality and the ability to work as a positive and effective team member, willing to go the extra mile to ensure we meet our customer expectations.
- Must be willing to be assigned to any of the following shifts:

- Days: 6:00 am to 4:00 pm. (Mon - Thurs)
- Afternoons: 4:00 p.m. - 2:00 a.m. (Mon - Thurs)
- Weekend days: 6:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Fri, Sat, Sun; paid for 40 hours)
- Weekend nights: 5:00 p.m. - 4:00 a.m. (Fri, Sat, Sun; paid for 40 hours)

PLEASE NOTE: The successful incumbents will need to be available for all shifts for training purposes.
