**Position: Clinical Counsellor**

**Location**: Chinatown, Vancouver, BC

**Job Type**: Full-time or Part-time

**Responsibilities**:
Conduct individual counseling sessions with clients to address a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, and relationship issues.

Employ evidence-based therapeutic techniques to help clients set and achieve their therapeutic goals, fostering positive and lasting change.

Provide a safe and supportive environment for clients to explore their feelings, thoughts, and emotions, while actively listening and demonstrating empathy.

Conduct intake assessments to gather relevant information about clients' backgrounds, presenting issues, and treatment history to develop personalized treatment plans.

Collaborate with clients to identify coping strategies and develop effective problem-solving skills to navigate life challenges.

Maintain accurate and confidential client records, progress notes, and treatment plans in accordance with professional standards and ethical guidelines.

Collaborate with other healthcare professionals within the clinic to provide integrated care for clients with complex needs.

Stay informed about the latest developments in counselling techniques, research, and industry best practices.

**Requirements**:
Master's degree in Counselling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.

Registration or licensure with a recognized counseling or therapy association in British Columbia (e.g., BCACC, CCPA, or equivalent).

Minimum of 2 years of experience providing counseling or psychotherapy services.

Demonstrated proficiency in using evidence-based therapeutic approaches and interventions.

Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build trusting relationships with clients.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex psychological concepts in an accessible manner.

Compassionate, non-judgmental, and client-centered approach to counseling.

Fluency in English (additional language skills, especially Cantonese or Mandarin, are considered an asset).
