Come join our team. We are currently hiring Environmental Protection Officer (EPO) for our Red Deer team.

Working as part of the Compliance Team, you will:

- Conduct proactive and reactive inspections to assess regulatory compliance in regulated sectors such as drinking water, contaminated sites, industrial, agricultural, and municipal sectors Respond to environmental incidents, including public complaints, collect evidence to determine if a contravention has occurred and report findings to the Compliance Assurance LeadThe abundance of natural areas and resources required dedicated professionals working together as a team to ensure their protection, preservation, and responsible use.

**Qualifications**:
**Minimum Educational and Experience Requirements**:

- Diploma in a related field, preferably in Environmental Sciences or Agricultural studies with enforcement/compliance background and a minimum six years of directly related experience; equivalencies will be considered.

Additional requirements:

- Valid Driver’s License
- Experience in regulatory inspection and/or investigation processes and techniques
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites

**Salary**:
$2,694.27 - $3,537.86 bi-weekly ($70,320.44 - $92,383.14/ year)

**Notes**:

- Hours of Work: 7.25 hours per day, Monday to Friday, 36.25 hours per week
- Some on-call may be required in case of environmental emergency situations
- Some travel may be required; must have valid Driver’s License
