**Mission**:
The General Superintendent is responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and supervising the work of all site operatives, ensuring that all work is delivered safely on time and within budget along with managing equipment and materials required. As we prepare for the 2023 construction season, it is time to start adding to the team. Successful applicants will have experience in one or more of the following: construction megaprojects; bridge and segmental bridge construction; building and structural projects; civil and utility works in residential areas. Must be a proven leader and communicator across all levels of an active construction project.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Participates in the preparation, organization, and overall coordination of the site: orders equipment, takes budgetary decisions, etc.- Together with the Project Manager, works on the creation of teams, and deals with internal transfers.
- Helps in the choice of specified technical options and in the definition of equipment: adjusting new equipment and perfecting techniques.
- In collaboration with the Design Offices, chooses the building methods for optimized feasibility and safety.
- Represents the company in foreign countries, anticipates events and considers the interests of the company in line with the code of ethics.
- Oversees maintenance/general services on site.
- Provides direction to the sub-contractor Supervisor(s); organizes their work: sets objectives, checks the schedules timeframes, the efficiency and quality of production, etc. Ensures the resources for inspection are efficient.
- Draws up the necessary sub-schedules for the works.
- Ensures that the scheduling/quality/safety objectives are respected.
- Ensures the execution of integrated sub
- contracted works or those necessary for the structure (on a large especially complex site, on a very large standard complexity site). Implements specific site procedures.
- Liaises, in all areas, between the site and the Site Engineering Team.
- Integrates and manages the constraints of other parties working on site as well as the co-activity.
- Ensures consistency of the Health and Safety Plans regarding all external parties on site.
- Continuously analyses and suggests improvements in performance.
- Finalizes, with the relevant management dept, the structural works budget for the different progress status points (objective, 20% progress point, etc.) and analyses the variance during presentations.
- Makes sure the Special Health and Safety Plans for all external parties working on site are consistent.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Technical:
- Capable of establishing procedures or specific instructions for the site, in collaboration with the Methods, Safety and Contract Management teams.
- Has good knowledge of the contractual rules of the project.
- Knows how to draw up independently the Structural Works schedule of a standard site.
- Knowledge of the regulations of reinforced concrete.
- Knows the materials and masters the techniques relevant to his job.
- Can analyze the compatibility between the different execution documents of the site: plans, bills of quantities, etc.
- Interprets, analyses, explains complex drawings and manages the latest version of the execution drawings.
- Can, from axes given by the surveyor, supervise or proceed with the setting out of the site.
- Can draw up the diagrams and the bills of quantities needed for the execution of the structures.
- Interprets and adapts the execution schedule
- Can define needs regarding personnel, tools and basic equipment to ensure individual and collective protection.
- Knows the materials, equipment and the usual techniques for building the structure or used on site.
- Defines procedures beforehand with the Construction Methods department and has the Project Director validate them.
- Has basic knowledge of mechanical reactions of reinforced concrete and other techniques affecting the structure.
- Carries out regular and unannounced site visits in order to identify non-compliance with Quality
- Safety-Environment rules; Verifies that the non-compliance sheets are drawn up as a result, then checks that corrective measures are taken.

**Profile**:

- Must know how to direct teams, lead and unite them.- Must be adaptable, capable of teaching and passing on knowledge.
- Has technical knowledge of site techniques and a sense of cost control.
- Must share the values of the company and be able to pass them on.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word).
- Problem solving skills to analyze data and identify trends.
