This is a one-year temporary assignment with the possibility of renewal based in the McGill Engineering Student Centre.

Position Summary:
Provide the integration of McGill's values, standards, and goals with respect to student life and learning into University policies, operations and procedures. Ease students’ integration into University life, support students’ learning and guide them towards a rewarding student life experience by offering a broad range of services in a supportive environment. Provide student admissions and enrolment services for undergraduate, graduate, certificates and diploma programs. Participate in student recruitment fairs, student exchange programs, convocation and graduation activities. Oversee government reporting and compliance. Offer a variety of student services including career planning, campus life and engagement, scholarships and student aid, counselling and tutorial, health and mental health, international student services, immigration, services for students with disabilities, religious life, and other programs. Offer student affairs services including advising, student records, registration and exam and invigilation activities. Offer programs related to athletics and recreation.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Provides guidance to students at the undergraduate level on a wide variety of issues, as well as Faculty/Departments/Schools regarding academic policies and procedures. Provides guidance and support regarding academic performance, academic programs and courses, and possible alternatives. Recognizes and encourages students to seek counselling where necessary
- Answers questions related to student records, student affairs, registration, transfers, readmission, exchanges and general inquiries
- Supports the development and implementation of a marketing plan and recruitment activities to attract students (undergraduate and graduate) from targeted populations and increase yield of these targets
- Adapts existing programs/projects/activities and supports the development of new ones to achieve the recruitment and yield objectives for the target populations
- Assists in the evaluation of degree completion for students who have applied to graduate
- Monitors and updates websites for prospective Engineering undergraduate and graduate students
- Supports the organization of recruitment events for prospective undergraduate and graduate students including: Canadian Graduate Engineering Consortium (CGEC), Caravan Visits to Cégeps; McGill Open House; McGill Engineering Research Symposium (MERS), Meet McGill/Campus Connect, webinars and info sessions etc.
- Supports the creation of a marketing approach and promotional materials in collaboration with the Faculty Communications Officer and the Social Media Administrator
- Takes part in committees and projects as requested
