You may be required to **lift and carry object, move furniture** and perform other physical tasks. Having a high level of physical stamina can help you complete your duties with ease.

The Youth Caregiver provides support to youth in a home setting with a focus on the development of appropriate behaviors and life skills development. Youth Caregivers may be single-staffed with two youth once cleared through all security checks.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Full Drivers License
- Must use personal vehicle to transport youth on shift
- Ability to work with youth who have high risk behavior's such as addiction, verbally aggressive, destruction of property.
- Relevant Education and or Experience

**Additional Information**:

- Homes in the Abbotsford area within approximate location to one another.
- All employees will be required to consent to a screening by MCFD upon hire, and again every third and fifth year of employment.

**Responsibilities**
- Providing a healthy, caring, and professional relationship that softens the transition of the individuals in care
- Support high risk youth in active addiction
- Responsive and knowledgeable in crisis situations such as overdoses and high risk behaviors'
- Follow Care Plans, Safety Plans, Protocols and Procedures
- Administer Medication and follow Documentation Protocols
- Completing Daily Progress Notes, Incident Reports, Life Skills Data Tracking
- Transportation to and from appointments with the use of personal vehicle
- Meal preparation, housekeeping, laundry and daily cleaning
- Engage individuals in leisure/recreational activities in the community and in the home
- Create a home environment, engaging as a respectful role model.
- Supervise visits with family members when required

Full-Time Employees receive 50% Employer Paid Health Benefits through Blue Cross; Eligible after the 3 month probationary period. Subject to maintaining full-time employment.

Pay: $22.02-$23.48 per hour
