**CANADA SUMMER JOBS POSTING FOR MARKETING COORDINATOR**

**16 weeks; 35 hours per week; $16.50/hour**

**Position Description**:
The East Gwillimbury Chamber of Commerce is looking for two individuals who are enthusiastic about developing community, supporting small business, and growing local tourism. Under the leadership of the Chamber Executive Director, the Marketing Coordinators will be responsible for optimizing the membership processes, social media communication strategies, marketing plans and tourism strategies.

**Primary functions associated with this position include the following**:

- Assist with the execution of various membership marketing campaigns and the creation of marketing collateral
- Assist with the implementation and improvement of the Chamber's various websites
- Assist with the implementation and management of social media communication strategies and marketing plans
- Assist with planning and executing events such as the East Gwillimbury Street Festival, breakfast and lunch events, summer BBQ, Business Awards, and the annual Farm to Fork Tour and Trail tour and any other event that the Chamber may plan
- Assist with planning and executing educational workshops and seminars.
- Assist with database maintenance
- Assist with the maintenance of the Rapid Antigen Test Kit program
- Assist the Executive Director in the day to-day operations of the Chamber, including answering phone calls and greeting members

**Core Competencies**:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and superior attention to detail
- Superior customer service skills
- Excellent computer skills and proficient in MS Office
- Self-starter who is self-motivated and achievement oriented
- Excellent time management skills. Ability to multi-task with superior organization skills
- Team player who is comfortable working in a group setting

**Qualifications**:

- Position may require occasional Weekends and Evenings
- A valid driver’s license, vehicle are required
- A Vulnerable Sectors Screening is required
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. considered an asset
- Must work at the Chamber office
- Must be under 30 years old as per Canada Summer Jobs requirements
- Must be fully vaccinated

**Job Type**: Summer Student

Contract length: 16 weeks

**Salary**: $16.50 per hour
