**Accounting Manager: A crucial role for EPT Clean Oil to support their financial wellness.**

Are you an experienced accounting professional looking for a new challenge and want to impact our client's financial health, EPT Clean Oil? They are looking for an Accounting Manager who can help ensure their financial operations are running smoothly and efficiently. Poised for growth, this role has a significant runway - from Controller to Director of Finance and beyond
- Note: This role is a permanent full-time role, Monday to Friday. Due to the confidentiality of the role, EPT Clean Oil requests this role to be in person at their office located on 106 Ave SE, Calgary, Alberta._

**Day to day, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for**:

- Full cycle accounting operations (journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, preparing financial statements, quarterly and year-end reports)
- Coordination and support for annual operating and capital budgets
- Preparing and managing payroll
- Monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
- Preparation of cash flow projections
- Creating working paper files and managing external review engagement
- Preparing and analyzing all government reporting requirements and tax filings
- Develop and lead initiatives to identify operating costs, variances, and performance and variance analyses for management
- Provide support to the CEO and leadership team (from advice to external reporting to financial institutions)

**On your resume we will be looking for the following**:

- Education in accounting and finance (preferably a bachelor’s degree)
- CPA designation (or on your way to achieving a CPA designation)
- Minimum of 5 years in progressively more senior accounting roles
- Responsibilities that include the preparation and analyzing of financial reports
- Familiarity with GAAP
- Experience with ADP Payroll Systems or similar
- Experience with QuickBooks Enterprise Accounting Software or similar

**During the interview process, which includes a phone screen, in-person interviews with the Vice President and CEO, and references, we’ll be looking for the following**:

- Your experience in managing invoices and payments as well as daily, weekly, and monthly financial transactions
- How you have supported developing and maintaining complex accounting system architecture
- Your experience with tracking, recording and reconciling accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Your ability to write detailed and concise financial reports
- Your knowledge of specialized accounting software
- How you have demonstrated a strong detail-orientation
- Your ability to work independently and under pressure
- Your commitment to confidentiality and privacy
- Your track record of being highly dependable
