Dental Assistant

We are looking for a Dental assistant.
We need a self-motivated team player who has excellent communication skills, is detail-oriented and loves making patients smile. This individual will also have an integral role in patient care, including setting up and cleaning treatment rooms, escorting patients to the treatment room and making them comfortable, and assisting the dentist with clinical treatments. Compensation is competitive and negotiable.
**Responsibilities**:
- Take dental x-rays.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments, handpieces and other equipment in compliance with ODA standards and CDA guidelines.
- Provide patient education to maintain oral health.
- Accurately and appropriately record provided treatment.
- Monitor inventory and order dental supplies.
- Counsel patients on oral health, including the role of nutrition.
- Follow protocol for treatment room management and sterilization.
- Securely handle patient records in compliance with office policies and procedures and applicable legal requirements.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed and adhering to office attendance policies.
**Requirements**:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- **Graduate of accredited Expanded Functions dental assisting program**.
- *Computer skills and familiarity with a paperless office.
- **Good interpersonal skills to maintain effective rapport with patients, dentists, other staff members and the community.**:
- Practical verbal skills to communicate with patients and staff.
- It should be reliable and have reliable transportation.
- Should have a professional appearance and be friendly.
**Duties**:
- Assisting chair-side
- Taking records, impressions, or x-rays
- Using computers to update electronic patient records
- Assisting with lab tasks as needed
- Assisting with front office tasks as needed

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 32 per week
