Position Summary

The Taxation Manager ensures compliance with the company's tax obligations in Canada and the United States.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare the consolidated provisions related to income tax in Canada and the United States (quarterly and annually), as well as the notes related to the consolidated financial statement and respond to any request from the external auditors.
- Manage the Canadian and US income tax returns, including information return forms (T106, T1134, etc.) and necessary tax election documents, if applicable.
- Establish and optimize installment payments in Canada and the United States.
- Manage the various income tax audits of tax authorities.
- Collaborate with the various external consultants, particularly in the context of restructurings, business acquisitions and financing of the company.
- Participate in the process of implementing new acquisitions, including determining the deferred tax during the acquisition of businesses, communication with lawyers, preparing the documents relating to the tax choice that are required, structure of the acquisition, etc.
- Maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts with tax returns and notices of assessment.
- Establish and monitor the group's internal transfer pricing methodology and prepare the data necessary for the preparation of the draft version of the report in this regard.
- Follow up on the various accounts associated with tax attributes.
- Develop internal tax controls and accounting procedures and policies.
- Identify areas for process improvement and collaborate in the implementation of various mechanisms for automating tax processes and ongoing initiatives to simplify operations.
- Participate in a range of specific projects (e.g., tax research, preparation of documents, international tax issues and other ad hoc topics).
- Keep up to date on new laws and legal standards associated with accounting and taxation.

**Qualifications**:

- Recognized professional title in Accounting.
- Master's degree in taxation or successful completion of CPA Canada's In-Depth Tax Program.
- At least 10 years of experience in tax compliance, including tax accounting.
- Solid experience in Canadian and US corporate taxes.
- In-depth knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Languages & Core Competencies
- Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken (bilingualism).
- Very good capacity for analysis and synthesis.
- Good priority management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Spirit of initiative and sense of organization.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite software, especially Excel, as well as TaxPrep.
