Montréal, Canada BRP Full time

Reporting to the Manager, International Taxation, the Advisor, International Taxation and Business Units Support, will participate to the optimization of BRP's tax position and the management of tax risks related to the international activities of the company. As such, he will actively participate in the evolution of the Company's business model and its underlying legal structure related to restructuring or growth projects. Proactive and organized, you will have the opportunity to exploit your talents and skills by taking on the following duties and responsibilities:
YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

Contribute to the development, implementation and optimization of the company's international tax strategies in collaboration with local (finance, legal, treasury) and international teams and external consultants;

Analyze Canadian and international tax aspects of treasury operations, including inter-company financing, external financing and the development of strategies for the repatriation of foreign affiliates’ funds to the parent company;

Support the Manager, International Taxation, in carrying out various special projects, including mergers and acquisitions, and be involved in due diligence processes in the context of potential acquisitions of Canadian and international subsidiaries;

Assess tax risks related to customer and supplier contracts and review tax clauses in collaboration with the legal team and representatives of the various company projects;

Analyze the income of controlled foreign affiliates and monitor their foreign accrued property income (“FAPI”), if applicable;

Be involved in the preparation of information returns for foreign affiliates (T1134) and the review of their surplus calculations;

Conduct the necessary tax researches and analysis to identify the tax consequences applicable to the company’s various projects;

Monitor tax legislative and regulatory changes and analyze their potential impacts on the company’s activities.

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

CPA or Lawyer

Master’s degree in taxation or equivalent

Minimum of 3 years of experience in international taxation

Fluent in French and English, both orally and in writing

Good management of priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
