**PRIMARY FUNCTION**

To ensure all public areas, guest rooms, and back-of-house areas are maintained to provide quality service for guests, and a safe working environment for all staffs.

- Maintenance Manager

**HOURS**
- As required

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Assigns daily duties to all maintenance staff under the direction of the maintenance management team
- Is responsible for ensuring that these duties are completed as per all provincial health and safety regulations and to the standards set by the maintenance management team
- Is responsible for monitoring and reporting the progress of these duties and projects to the maintenance management team
- Must assist in the completion of all general maintenance, repairs and renovations in the Lodge and Staff Residence when required and as directed
- Assisting with repairs and all building maintenance requests including electrical, plumbing, drywall, paint, heating/cooling systems, furniture)
- Perform/record scheduled checks of boiler, sewage treatment plant, generators, hot tub and lift station, water treatment station, vehicles and machinery
- Report all damage or non-working equipment to the maintenance management team including the sewer/turbine/generator/STP/water systems
- Perform snow-removal by hand or using equipment (keep all sidewalks and stairs free of ice and snow) when needed
- Work in a clean and tidy manner in all guestrooms and all other areas
- Carry out regular security checks and respond to noise/disturbance complaints in guest rooms
- Communicate effectively with other shifts to ensure jobs aren’t left incomplete or unaddressed

**EXPERIENCE**
- Grade 12 Diploma, or equivalent
- A valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
- Basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry experience is preferred
- Must be familiar with operating firefighting systems
- Must know how to work safely with chemicals
- Must know how to work safely with power equipment
- Must be able to perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting in all aspects of the hotel infrastructure
- Must work safely always, and uphold a high standard for safety
- Will be working outside in all seasons and weather conditions
- Must be willing to work all shifts (AM, PM, and mid-shifts)
- Must be able to work independently and remain calm in the event of an emergency
- Must be physically able to climb a ladder when required
- Physical demands, sitting, standing, bending, lifting (up to 80 pounds)
- Must have Drivers License and Valid Abstract
