As a Student Retail Furniture Sales Associate, you will provide courteous and efficient customer service in store, and support with general store maintenance and furniture repair and assembly. Led by the Manager, Furniture Store, this opportunity suits a proactive self-starter, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Weekdays - 2:00pm to 6:00pm
- Saturdays - 8:00am to 5:00pm
- Sundays - 11:00am to 5:00pm

- Greet and assist customers with all aspects of their home furnishing, appliance, and accessories requirements.
- Process customers’ transactions in the P.O.S. system.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks and loading customer pick-up orders. Assist with preparing items for Delivery and/or Dealer shipments.
- Assemble furniture and place on retail sales floor. Repair in-stock furniture.
- Assist in moving furniture displays and relocation of product within the store and stock areas.
- General housekeeping and store maintenance of retail store and facilities. Assist in maintaining a clean truck, warehouse, and stockroom.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines.
- Assist with other special projects as requested from the Store Manager.

**We’re looking for**:

- Must be a minimum 16 years of age or older, and currently enrolled in high school, college, or university.
- Excellent communication skills and customer service skills with a friendly helpful attitude. Retail experience an asset.
- Ability to assemble various fixtures and furniture.
- A significant output of physical effort is required through lifting, bending, pulling, pushing, etc. The ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds without difficulty on a consistent basis is needed.
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and occasional holidays.
