The Moose Hide Campaign is an Indigenous-led grassroots movement seeking to engage men and boys, alongside all Canadians, to work together to end violence against women and children. **THE POSITIONS**

Moose Hide Campaign is seeking to fill two (2) Regional Coordinator positions - One for Ontario and one for Quebec (bilingual). The Regional Coordinators will be responsible for coordinating strategic outreach and engagement activities. As provincial lead for Moose Hide Campaign’s Gender-based Violence
Program, Regional Coordinators will develop and maintain effective partnerships with Indigenous communities across the province. The Gender-based Violence Regional Coordinators will also play a key role in maintaining databases, preparing correspondence, and drafting reports. This opportunity is supported through funding from Gender Equality Canada’s _Gender-based Violence Promising Practices_
Grant.

Positions: Regional Coordinator - Gender-based Violence (GVB) Program - Ontario and Quebec
Reports to: National Coordinator - Gender-based Violence Program
Locations: Position 1 - Ontario
Position 2 - Quebec (bilingual)

The Regional Coordinators will work in a hybrid working model with much of their work requiring in-person interactions through their respective province.

Start Date: February 20, 2024, or as soon as possible
Salary range: $65,000 to $67,500 per annum

Status: Full-Time, Temporary Position, (February 20-29, 2024, to September 30, 2025).

**Responsibilities**

Working closely with the National Coordinator, the Regional Coordinators will:

- Establish tools for tracking and evaluating engagement opportunities and outcomes.
- Coordinate and deliver outreach in the form of informational / educational sessions, personal interactions involving Indigenous ceremony.
- Train ambassadors within the institutions.
- Provide additional opportunities that inform and grow both passion and commitment for ending gender-based violence, in particular, against Indigenous women and children.
- Gathering content (e.g., interviews, photos).

Engagement opportunities include, but are not necessarily limited to:

- Conducting traditional fasting ceremonies involving men and boys.
- Conducting healing circles and other traditional healing practices.
- Providing supports and guidance to shift culture within institutions to embed practices that end violence against women and children.

The Regional Coordinators work to promote the Moose Hide Campaign’s message of advancing reconciliation and addressing gender-based violence by engaging men, boys, and all Canadians to stand up against violence towards women and children.

**Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skill Sets and Competencies**

The Regional Coordinators will have demonstrated education and experience in planning and delivering programs including:

- The provision of programs and services that support initiatives to end gender-based violence against Indigenous women and children.
- Engaging a diverse group of partners using a variety of means including but not limited to: o Use of social media platforms o Informal and formal dialogue o Public speaking
