About the Role:
The Controller, Corporate Accounting will be responsible for the preparation and distribution of various external and internal financial statements, consolidation, maintenance of the Corporate accounting policies and internal controls, researching accounting treatment/issues and ensuring that transactions are recorded in accordance with Accounting standards for private enterprises (“ASPE”).

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Review the consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements and schedules to support the internal and external reporting requirements for Bosa Enterprise Corporation and its subsidiary companies;
- Manage the monthly close process and general ledger accounting functions to ensure timely financial reporting including consolidation and elimination, regulatory filings, variance analysis, etc.;
- Review the monthly calendar noting all deliverables and timings for the finance department;
- Lead Annual Audit process by liaising with external auditors and internal teams to deliver an efficient and effective audit;
- Lead financial statements notes review, reconciliation of shareholder reporting and post-audit;
- Create, update and maintain Corporate accounting policies in accordance with ASPE;
- Continuously improving the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close process;
- Support leadership team with information vital to decision-making process;
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of adequate internal controls in order to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records and the safeguarding of assets;
- Participate in development of Joint Venture reporting packages and assist the development and implementation of activities and programs designed to meet the intention of specific strategic priorities;
- Supervision of 5 direct reports including:

- Recruiting, selecting, coaching, and orienting the direct reports;
- Managing the workflow and the workload of direct reports;
- Collaboratively setting the individuals’ performance objectives, goals and providing performance reviews and ongoing feedback;
- Encourage learning and growth and foster an engaging work environment;
- Special projects and ad-hoc tasks as required.

What you Bring:
**Our Must Haves**
- CPA designation;
- Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive work experience in finance or accounting at a large complex organization, ideally with head office (i.e., parent company);
- Experience preparing consolidated financial statements, eliminations, financial reporting, and complex intercompany transactions;
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in a supervisory/management position providing mentorship to juniors;
- Detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Enjoys a fast-paced environment, adapts quickly to new processes, and can manage changing priorities;
- Solid analytical abilities and advanced excel skills;
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
- Working knowledge of Yardi Voyager considered an asset.
