Wheel / Handbuilding Pottery Instructor

Pottery Dream seeking a passionate and skilled Pottery Instructor for Handbuilding/ Wheel to join our team. If you have a passion for ceramics and enjoy teaching others, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. As a pottery instructor, you will have the chance to inspire and guide individuals in the art of pottery making while fostering their creativity and helping them develop their skills.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and deliver pottery classes and workshops, covering various techniques such as hand-building, wheel throwing and glazing
- Provide demonstrations, step-by-step instructions, and hands-on guidance to help students develop their pottery skills and techniques.
- Offer constructive feedback and critique to students, encouraging their artistic growth and development.
- Ensure the safety of students by educating them on proper handling of tools, equipment, and materials.
- Stay updated on current pottery trends, techniques, and advancements through workshops and continuing education.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting teamwork, collaboration, and creativity.
- Evaluate student work, provide constructive feedback, and encourage artistic growth.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience teaching pottery to individuals or groups of various ages and skill levels is a plus
- Strong knowledge and proficiency in pottery techniques such as hand-building, wheel throwing and glazing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students of different ages and skill levels.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to safety in the pottery studio.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Creativity and a passion for the art of pottery.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students to explore their creativity.
- Flexibility in working hours, including evenings and weekends.

Part-time hours: 4 - 12 per week

**Salary**: $25.00-$29.00 per hour
