**Worksite Safety Compliance Centre **is expanding locations and the instructor-led training team Our new **Burlington, Ontario**, warehouse will offer a variety of mobile equipment training (forklift, elevated work platforms, etc.), as well as Confined Space Entry training. If you are a knowledgeable and experienced health and safety instructor who is passionate about construction and mobile equipment safety education, this role is for you
This full-time position reports to the Manager, Instructor-Led Training and will deliver training at our new Burlington warehouse location predominantly, however there is also an opportunity for this instructor to deliver training in Confined Space Entry and Working at Heights at our other area locations.
As a Safety & Equipment Trainer your **key responsibilities** are:
- Delivering operator training and testing on the use of mobile equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, articulated boom trucks and cranes
- Delivering engaging and informative Working at Heights and/or Confined Space Entry training to job seekers, the general public and new and current members of the construction industry
- Evaluating participants through practical skills and written evaluation
- Organizing, filing and submitting digital and hard copy participant records following training
- Participating in team meetings and instructor development workshops
- 3+ years experience delivering training
- Instructor training certification in mobile elevated work platform and/or material handling equipment operation is required
- Experience delivering training on Working at Heights and Confined Space Entry is preferred. Experience working at heights and in confined spaces considered an asset
- Background in construction/warehouse/manufacturing management is preferred
- Background in occupational health & safety is preferred
- Strong interest educating people on the importance and value of health & safety training
- Self-starter who is able to work independently, while also contributing to a team
- Strong presentation and adult-engagement skills
- Valid Ontario’s Driver Licence - occasional travel by car for work
- Able to legally work in Canada
