Tween Zone Facilitator

Position Overview The YMCA of Greater Moncton’s Tween Zone is a space for children and youth to be active, socialize and have fun Tween Zone team members build relationships with youth and help create a positive environment for physical activity, creativity, friendships and fun to happen Tween Zone, offered Friday nights at YMCA Vaughan Harvey, provides opportunities for 8-12 years old to take advantage of all the Y has to offer, fun and games, gym and swim Duties **Responsible for the implementation and delivery of Tween Zone activities. ** Responsible for connecting with the youth, giving them support and a safe environment to grow. **Responsible for the security of youth within the YMCA; providing guidance on behavioral issues when needed. ** Provide continual supervision in all areas of the building, including Tween Zone rooms, halls, gymnasium, locker rooms, pool and splash pad. **Responsible for assisting the Tween Zone team in maintaining cleanliness and organization of all Tween Zone areas. ** Assists in providing a helping relationship and intervention in crisis situations. **Provide leadership and guidance to program volunteers. ** Responsible for assisting other YMCA staff when situations arise. **Responsible for reporting any and all incidents to program director. ** Other duties as assigned

Pay: $16.52 per hour

Expected hours: 5 per week
