**The Role**:

KMH Cardiology Centres Inc. is growing and we are recruiting for a Medical Receptionist role for our busy practice in **Woodstock.**

**The Accountabilities**:
The goal of this position is to provide an outstanding service experience to patients at our labs. The key accountabilities of the role include:

- Act as a first point of contact for patients during their in-clinic experience
- Greet patients and visitors as they arrive
- Manage patient check-ins, enquiries and phone calls
- Ensure maximum client satisfaction through a high quality service approach
- Accurately register patients by obtaining complete demographics, insurance information and consent.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments and follow ups
- Facilitate patient flow by communicating patients' arrival
- Respond to patient inquiries in a courteous and empathetic manner
- Maintain attention to detail for all medical records. Scan documents into patient charts.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all required forms and documentation are completed per check in protocols.
- Protect patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area
- Build rapport with patients by responding to inquiries and communicate next steps to patient.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide and gather information, enabling patient requirements to be dealt with efficiently.
- Meet and achieve performance based targets and metrics for the team
- Complete MRI bookings administration tasks including confirmations, chart checks and phone calls

**Required skills and experience**:

- Medical office experience
- Demonstrated high quality, compassionate, customer centred experience
- Proven ability to work proficiently and independently in a busy fast paced environment
- Ability to establish priorities and achieve objectives with mínimal supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Superior telephone etiquette
- Strong understanding of medical terminology
- Proficiency in technology including MS Office
- EMR systems experience
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to deal with sensitive information with a high degree of privacy and diplomacy
- Team orientation
- The ability to provide coverage at KMH Kitchener is an asset

The Reception team takes pride in our client focused environment and works very closely with other service and clinical teams at KMH. This role has extensive face to face patient interaction.

This is a full-time role that is scheduled for 5 days (37.5 hours) per week. The schedule is below:

- Monday-Friday 9.45 a.m.5.45 p.m.

This role reports to the Team Lead: Reception West and is part of a team of 18 members.
