**Title**: Director, Toxic Drug Response
**Salary**: $122,641 - $144,283 - $165,926 per year (pay range explained below)
**Contract**: Permanent
**Hours**: 37.5 hours per week (core hours 9am-3pm, Monday to Friday)
**Location**: 100 Park Royal S, West Vancouver (Hybrid working is an option in line with FNHA’s flex work policy). Please note, this role will be relocating to our new office building in North Vancouver on Tsleil-Waututh Nation (TWN) land, south of Mount Seymour Parkway, after October 2024.

**About the role**
The Director, Toxic Drug Response, guided by FNHA’s Framework for Action, provides strategic consultative expertise and collaborative leadership to community, regions and system partners in ensuring a culturally safe response for First Nations people to the ongoing toxic drug poisoning crisis. This position provides advice and guidance to multiple internal departments with a particular emphasis on FNHA regional Mental Health and Wellness teams and Health Surveillance as well as collaborates across the health system including building relationships with the Overdose Emergency Response Centre and regional health authorities to ensure the needs of First Nations people are prioritized during this crisis. Travel is required in this role approximately 10% of the time.

**About you**
To be successful in this role you will have:

- Bachelor’s degree in a health related field such as nursing, psychology, social work or a related behavioral science field or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Significant, recent and relevant experience working within BC's health care system (usually acquired after a minimum of 10 years of experience)
- Significant, recent and relevant experience in mental wellness program planning, service delivery and evaluation including managing multi-year projects and deliverables
- Demonstrated experience working with First Nations community members, Health leadership and organizations, including experience working with First Nations communities or organizations in the area of mental wellness with a focus on trauma informed practice.
- Experience providing leadership, coaching and ongoing development to teams and/or staff
- Proven experience in risk management and change management
- In-depth knowledge of First Nations mental wellness health system needs and culturally safe and trauma informed healing approaches

You may have experience in:

- Project Management Professional certification through the Project Management Institute is an asset.

- The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours. Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements. The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level.
