**As a Human History Education Program Interpreters, you will**:

- Plan and lead a variety of pre-registered educational programs for schools, groups, day camps, birthday parties and courses
- Lead activities for special events at facilities
- Assist in program research and development
- Assist in the delivery of public interpretation services
- Assist in the maintenance of artifacts and program supplies
- Work evenings and weekends and conduct other related duties as required

**Qualifications**:

- Completion of Grade 12
- Experience working with the general public, tour groups, children and other program users
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Certificates are required prior to employment
- Highly developed communication skills
- Ability to lead, organize, instruct and supervise programs
- Basic knowledge of Western Canadian History
- Hire is dependent upon a Police Information Check including Vulnerable Sector check satisfactory to the City of Edmonton and is a requirement of this position, there may be a cost associated with this requirement

**_ Up to 10 temporary, part-time positions for up to 7 months_**

**Hours**: Up to 39 hours per week, Sunday - Saturday. Ability to work weekends, holidays, evenings and overnights is required. (Note: Hours of work can vary and are based on scheduling and booking of programs)

The weekly hours of work for this position are currently under review and may change at a future time. Any changes will be made in accordance with the City of Edmonton/Civic Service Union 52 collective agreement and the incumbent will be notified in advance.
