The Material Handler is a key production and material management team member who performs the material management on the shop floor and in the Next Hydrogen facility. He/she transacts material in the ERP system as they are physically processed through the facility.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Learn the EPICOR ERP transaction processes (in Epicor MES) and utilize it to transact material (picking kits, allocating material, etc.)
- Manage the unloading of delivery trucks, the receipt of parts into Epicor, the put away of component parts into the supermarket/stock area
- Compete the kitting of jobs and the delivery of kits to the appropriate work centers for assembly and test
- Document proper lot/serial tracking for key parts as denoted in the standard work (and log them in Epicor system)
- Follow 5S workplace organization principles and always keep your workplace organized and clean
- Follow all safety standards as spelled out in standard work and set by the facility management
- Wear appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment) for the facility and for the specific job you are performing
- Engage in material cycle counts to verify the accuracy of the physical inventory to that on the EPICOR system
- Work closely with quality technician to properly segment suspect material/assemblies in an appropriate quarantine area
- If you see an unsafe or possibly unsafe act or situation occurring, use your “STOP WORK AUTHORITY” to halt an operation and get the plant HSE team involved. This operation should not be re-started until the HSE representative approves the re-start
- Notify quality representative when a part or assembly is out of specification or is damaged - this part/assembly should be quarantined until released by engineering and/or quality

**Preferred Experience/Qualifications**:

- 2 - 5 years experience in material management in an industrial setting
- MS Office experience required
- Licensed forktruck driver preferred
- Experience working in a team environment
- Some experience with ERP systems and/or an IT system for order management and fulfillment
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with quality management systems
- Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

**Education**:

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Technical associate degree preferred

**Physical Demands / Working Conditions**:

- Stooping, Standing
- Light Lifting (occasional 25 lbs or less), Heavy Lifting (occasional 25 lbs +)
- Pushing/pulling carts between ~75-100 lbs.
