E2Gold is seeking Summer Students to provide geological support to the exploration team on its summer exploration program. Exploration activities will likely include some or all of the following: prospecting, surface mapping and sampling, geotechnical and geological logging exploration drill holes, and soil sampling.

Term: May 2023 to September 2023

Employment Details: full time, daily rate, 3 month fixed-term contract with possibility for extension.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide geological field support to the exploration geology team and exploration programs in the field, in the core shack or other locations.
- Duties will include (but are not limited to) prospecting, soil sampling, field mapping and geochemical sampling.
- Assist as required in field sampling of outcrops including chip - channel sampling following CIM guidelines for best practices.
- Complete geological descriptions of samples when needed.
- Data entry of historical geological data and digitize historical maps.
- Research as needed to help with logistics planning
- Complete daily data entry and quality control checks.
- Review rock saws and related equipment to ensure good working order prior to the planned channel sampling.
- Ensure that all the correct PPE is available and being used, following Occupational Health and Safety Act, Ontario
- Take all precautions necessary to work safely and to protect the environment.
- Assist in aspects of the drill program when requested, including core logging and RQD geotechnical measurements, and moving of drill core boxes.
- Participation in field activities related to drilling to assist the geologists including drill hole spotting, drill site inspections, drill trail inspections, and other related tasks.
- May be asked to participate in other projects of the company
- Prepares samples and paperwork for submission to analytical laboratories.
- Preparing various reports.

**Qualifications**:

- Enrollment at an accredited Canadian University or College program focused on geosciences.
- Some knowledge of economic mineral systems.
- Previous summer student experience in mineral exploration is an asset, however not a requirement.
- High safety standard.
- Ability to work in adverse weather and terrain.
- Bush road navigation, and use off-road vehicles (ei., snowmobiles & ATV’s).
- Use of a compass, maps, and handheld Garmin GPS
- Attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and organization skills.
- Strong Interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.

**Salary**: $193.75-$280.49 per day

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
