**Your Opportunity**Functions and Duties**
- Instructional duties may include any or all of the following:
- Instructional (teaching assignments)
- Course and program preparation and revision
- Student contact
- Student advising
- Evaluation and marking of student work
- Other functions related to instruction
- Professional duties may include any or all of the following:
- Curriculum development
- Student registration
- Pre-registration duties
- Service may include any or all of the following:
- School visitations
- Participation on OC committees
- Attendance at articulation meetings
- Representing OC at other functions
- Administrative and other duties**Education and Experience**
- 1. Successful completion of a related apprenticeship program and a Certificate of Apprenticeship with an Interprovincial endorsement.
- 2. An undergraduate degree and post secondary teaching experience are preferred; however, applicants with an equivalent combination of teaching and work experience may be considered.
- 3. An Instructor’s Diploma or valid BC Teacher’s Certificate appropriate to the instructional assignment is preferred, and will be required following appointment in accordance with the Collective Agreement.
- 4. Six to ten years recent relevant experience.**Skills and Abilities**Preferred Qualifications**
- Red Seal in one or more of the following trades: Automotive Service Technician, Carpenter, Electrician, Plumber, Sheet Metal Worker, and/or Welder.**Desired Start Date**

- Given on-call nature of position, schedule and frequency of instruction may vary.
- Programs are typically ten to twelve weeks in length, however, length of appointment would depend on the type of coverage required.
- Typical instructional week is Monday to Friday, 6 hours per day and would not exceed 30 hours.**Annual Salary/Hourly Rate**
- Salary range $62,828 to $100,958 annually; normal starting salary between $69,017 and $75,206 annually, dependent on relevant education and experience.**Appointment Type**
