**Operations / Quality Assurance Technician**:

**Opportunity**

This is a full time opportunity based in Edmonton, Alberta and is curated for motivated individuals that believe in a team environment. The role of Quality Assurance Supervisor will be a part of the operations and quality team and report to the Operations Manager and Quality Assurance Manager on a daily basis ensuring a compliant, safe operation in all aspects of plant growth and day to day facility operations and record keeping.

**Job Summary**

Working closely with the Operations Manager and Quality Assurance Manager; this role will be responsible for all procedural record keeping, inventory analysis, documentation control and data accuracy to meet Health Canada Regulations

**Roles & Responsibilities**
- Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) are carried out by all employees
- Maintain books and records of all quality control procedures and activities
- Create, tailor, and abide by all company SOP’s
- Create, tailor and manage all facility logs and forms
- Planning and coordinating with 3rd party lab services
- Investigate customer complaints and manage incident reporting and corrective action
- Collect and compile statistical quality data
- Conduct vendor approval inspection
- Oversee and manage receiving procedure of raw materials
- Maintain sanitation procedures
- Conduct training routines for new and existing personnel
- Consistent inventory management and compliant record keeping responsibilities
- Maintain company standards for cost control and waste reduction
- Display safe handling and use, and understanding of chemicals and equipment (MSDS)
- Ensure compliance with legislative policies and regulations (provincial and federal)
- Ability to solve problems and recommend opportunities to improve productivity and efficiencies
- Ensure cleanliness of facility, processes and product at all times
- Other duties deemed essential by management and operating procedures, such as assistance on the manufacturing line, assistance on garden management and harvesting
- Strong work ethic alongside the promotion of a safe and happy workplace

**Work Experience Qualifications**:

- Minimum 3-5 years experience quality control and assurance
- Previous related work experience that provides the knowledge of and skill for technical writing.
- Good written and verbal communication skills to effectively explain technical information to others, along with interpersonal skills to assist operations/ manufacturing with work activities, training and to lead work groups.
- Good planning and organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
- Good understanding of GPP/GDP/GMP in a manufacturing/ production environment.
- Requires the ability to work on more than one ongoing task at one time.
- Knowledge on Cannabis / Natural Health Products Industry
- Knowledge of ISO requirements and audits.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards.

**Skill Sets Required**
- Experience with Quality management systems
- Must be precise and detail focused
- Must be mathematically skilled
- Read and write English
- Ability to pass security clearance background check
- Must be able to work in Environment controlled rooms, with high energy lighting

**Education**
- High School diploma or equivalent
- University degree specializing in Biology/ Chemistry, Plant Sciences, or Agriculture
- Certification of Quality Assurance training

**Preferred Assets**
- Competencies in Canada’s Cannabis Industry Policies (Cannabis Act)
- ISO 9001 certification
- Advanced skills with Microsoft office
- Competencies in data management software
- Competencies in inventory management software
- Competencies in quality management software

**Salary**: $45,000.00 to $50,000.00 /year

**Salary**: $40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
