**The Opportunity**:Fire Assay Technician**
Fire Assay Technicians contribute to Actlabs success by performing a variety of tasks in the mineral analysis process. Once brought on and trained successfully on day shift(for 2-3 months as to be determined), this role will be performed on the afternoon shift.
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Carry out Fire Assay procedures i.e. fluxing, fusing and cupelling samples as per written procedures
- Mix dry chemicals, load trays into a furnace (working in a hot environment) and pour samples
- Complete required documentation and logs
- Follow QC procedures accurately and safely
- Maintain a clean work environment
- Organize waste disposal
- Strict adherence with the company’s Health & Safety and Professional Conduct Policies
- Any other tasks as determined
**What You Bring to the Team**:
- **Educational Background**: High School Diploma
- **Experience**: Experience in Fire Assay is not required, but can be an asset. On the job training is provided
- **Communication Skills**: Possess good verbal and written communication skills in English. Read, understand, follow work instructions and guidelines accurately and safely.

- Exhibit excellent interpersonal and computer skills
- Ability to problem solve, multi-task, meet deadline and perform in a fast-paced work environment to achieve turnaround requirement
- Proven time management skills, quality driven and attention to detail
- Reliable, organized and proactive
- Ability to work well as a team member and independently
- Excellent eye-hand co-ordination and manual dexterity to perform tasks
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, clean shaven in order to safely wear PPE
- Rotating shift and extended hours may be required
