**About LEAF Summer Camp**

LEAF Summer Camp is a Christian Summer Camp. The mission of LEAF is to honour God in all that we do. Through biblical principles, we seek to help children develop habits for success and pursue personal excellence. LEAF provides creative programming that integrates prayer, hands-on learning, physical activity, outings, and community service. We are seeking motivated youth that we envision to work together to provide a caring community and healthy children who will revere Christ.

**Duties**
- Oversee the day camp program by keeping track of attendance and program records, organizing lesson plans and activities, and creating and distributing program evaluations.
- Lead by example and encourage others to understand and appreciate the mission of the camp, as well as the importance of diversity and social inclusion.
- Actively supervise both campers and volunteers, following the Day Camp Behavior Management Policies and Procedures to manage camper behavior.
- Make sure that all safety documentation is accurately and thoroughly completed, and ensure that the camp environment is safe for all campers, volunteers, and staff at all times.
- Attend all required Day Camp and other training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices and any changes to policies or procedures.

Desired Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications include a high school or current enrollment in a post-secondary program related to recreation, child studies or equivalent experience.
- Age 15-30
- Previous experience working with children and youth in a camp setting is preferred.
- Customer service experience is an added advantage, as the role involves interacting with parents, families, and volunteers.
- Please be aware that, as this position involves caring for children, a Police Information Check and cleared child welfare is required before your first day of work. Instructions will be provided upon offer acceptance. If you are under 18, you'll sign a declaration; if over 18, you'll need to provide a satisfactory Police Information Check to the Leaf organization.

Contract length: 2 months

**Salary**: $16.00 per hour
