Current Opportunities:

- **Pipe layer**
- Aligning pipes and checking grades during pipeline construction using pipe laser
- Install sanitary sewer and watermain piping systems on grade, as well as concrete structures
- Use hand tools to prepare trench and operate a trench tamper
- Perform all other construction laboring duties when required
- Reporting directly to the foreman and will be responsible for the installation of water/ sewer main, and concrete structures for both reconstruction and new construction projects
- **Topman**
- Conducting elevations shots, reading grade, and ensuring pipe is being properly placed in the ground
- Communicating with the Foreman, Operators, and Crew members
- Providing continuous inspections of pipes for cracks or deficiencies
- Responsible for cutting and preparing pipes and fittings for installation
- Assisting Pipe Layer with installation as needed, locating utilities, and other duties as assigned by the project foreman
- Cutting pipe to length and preparing pipe and fittings for installation by the pipelayer
- Securing pipes, manholes and other materials and equipment for backhoe before lowering into or removing from trench
- Ensures that materials for pipelayer and other workers are ready as needed on the job site
- Works closely with other crew members using hand signals to coordinate work and ensure safety
- Maintain orderliness, cleanliness and safety at jobsite
- Follow Supervisor’s instructions closely

Qualifications:

- Must haves:_
- previous experience as a sewer and watermain crew
- demonstrate organizational skills with strong knowledge and expertise
- strong work ethic and ability to work with a team
- good health and physical condition
- excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- works well independently and collaboratively on small or large-scale projects
- reliable, responsible, and trustworthy
- must be able to stand, lift 50 lbs., carry, bend, and reach
- punctual and available to work a minimum of 10 hours per day, 5 days per week
- must maintain a valid driver’s license
- must be willing to commute to anywhere the work is in the GTA
- Good to have:_
- in-depth knowledge and practice of OSHA safety standards and precautions
- minimum of 2 years experience in sewer or watermain projects
- safety training certificates such as First Aid/CPR, WHMIS 2015, Working at Heights, etc.

Work Conditions:

- Traveling to various sites in the GTA will be required.
- Outdoor environment in various weather conditions.
- Weekend and evening work may occasionally be required.
