Night Baker

**The Fickle Fig is looking for experienced, professional and dedicated team players with outstanding baking and technical skills to join our expanding team.**

As an experienced baker with enthusiasm and a passion for quality food you will work directly next to our red seal pastry chef and will be responsible for ensuring preparation, cooking, taste and presentation are consistently of a high standard. We have two bakeries, one in North Saanich, and one in the heart of downtown Sidney, BC.

The position entails several evenings each week starting and finishing a daily rotation of croissants, danish, muffins, cinnamon buns, scones and other decadent treats including doughs and fillings, while focusing on locally grown fruit and produce right here on the Saanich Peninsula with exceptional execution and finesse.

Wage is dependent on experience. Must have reliable transportation for on site free parking.

**Wage $22-24/hourly + benefits option after 3 months.**

Skills and experience required:

- At least 1 year of commercial baking experience - required.
- Efficient working ethic.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Positive and dynamic personality with the ability to work under pressure.
- Be able to work independently
- Be willing and eager to learn.
- Use creativity and ingenuity.
- Be a problem solver.
