The purpose of this position is to oversee assigned residence employees - including completing all required training, supervision, and performance management; this position also ensures all standards of care are maintained as outlined in all WorkSafe, CARF, licensing, and contractual obligations, for assigned worksites.

We are currently looking for an **Operation Manager **to join our amazing team

**Job Expectations**:

- Member of Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee or Labor Management Committee.
- Providing supervision, training, and performance management for a team of employees.
- Ensures performance reviews occur at least annually.
- Provides letters of expectation as needed.
- Conducts investigation interviews as needed.
- Conducts employee discipline as needed.
- Scheduling and completing all required initial and on-site training with assigned employees.
- Supervises any assigned practicum students.
- Identifying probationary period dates and ensuring training and employee items are completed prior to this date - extending probationary periods as needed.
- Standards of Care Tasks
- Manages the completion of all Quality Record Reviews at least quarterly - inclusive of all applicable CARF standards.
- Manages all CARF data.
- Manages all quarterly persons served check-ins and updates CARF data tracker.
- Manages all formal complaints received by persons served, stakeholders, and employees.
- Responsible for assessing and purchasing worksite necessities and upgrades.
- Creates and modifies agency templates as needed.
- Maintain and updates Share Vision as needed.
- Updates all agency training and performance review tracking.
- Oversees and assists with training of new employees or employees in new positions.
- Responsible for promoting the agency’s commitment to improving the agency’s wellness and culture.
- Responsible for building community connections that support person served and employee wellness - i.e. discounted services.
- Supports employee returns to work as needed - ensuring they have adequate supports in place to be successful - i.e. training workbooks changed since last working.
- Maintain compliance with all WorkSafe BC standards.
- Including all Covid-19 and public health orders.
- Conducts all emergency drills assigned worksites.
- Maintains health and safety boards assigned worksites.
- Facilitate internal and external worksite inspections at all new locations, and existing locations annually.
- Inputs incident report data and reviews for trends - notifying applicable people as needed.
- Supports worksites with:

- Care plan creation and maintenance.
- ICMs
- Worksite specific policies.
- Employee meetings.
- Facilitates and oversees all intake, transition, and discharge planning for persons served for their assigned worksites.
- Ensures agency policies being maintained - including year-end filing.
- Creates and modifies agency templates as needed.
- Stays informed on all standards of care as required - i.e. MCFD standards of care, Island Health licensing standards, etc.
- Stays informed on CARF standards - specifically Section 2- Program Standards of Child and Youth Services Manual and Employment Community Services Manual.
- Stays informed and up to date on any standard changes/revisions in the manual.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- All applicants must have at least a degree or diploma in a related field (child and youth care, education, psychology, etc.) and/or have the equivalent of at least two years of experience in the field.
- All applicants should have experience of being a team leader and supervising employees in a union setting.

**Qualifications include, but are not limited to**:

- Experience working with individuals with extreme behaviors and/or mental health concerns with the age range of 10-19 years old
- Knowledge of Trauma Informed Practice
- Experience in an administrative/managerial role
- Experience creating and adhering to strict policies and procedures.
- Experience with crisis management and high stress environments - patient, calm, effective self-care practices, problem solving skills, etc.
- Advanced communication skills - able to always maintain professionalism and adapt to the needs of the person served.
- Strong organization and planning skills
- Strong Computer Skills - Microsoft word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

**Compensation, hours and location**:
**Compensation starts at $37.70 per hour.**
