**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Turnaround Superintendent, the Coordinator - Operations Turnaround is the focal point for all operational activities during the turnaround planning and execution. Working closely with Operations the Coordinator - Operations Turnaround will be responsible to facilitate the operational activities required to prepare the NWR facilities to support turnaround work. This role will work collaboratively and cross-functionally with team members from Operations, Engineering Services, SCM, HSE, and Marketing.

**Responsibilities**:

- Facilitates the development of the process availability plan; develops the operations decontamination process and plans;
- Ensures work identified by area units is validated and incorporated into the overall turnaround scope; develops the turnaround shift schedules;
- Coordinates the development and tracking of each event work list, including the integration of all operations, improvement (MOC) and capital project work; actively participates in scope changes, removal, and additions approvals;
- Develops and maintains the blind/temporary line lists; coordinates resourcing of the turnaround operations, supports team members, approves time entries;
- Establishes and coordinates the operations contract resourcing for direct and indirect field labour required to support each event; accounts for contractor awareness of the event safety plan and quality standards, and activities during the event execution, including pre-event, and post event activities;
- Ensures shutdown and start-up procedures are developed, reviewed and updated; leads meetings to support work execution and achieve, safety, quality, schedule, cost objectives;
- Ensures detailed plans are developed for unit preparation, turnaround execution and unit start-up; acts as the focal point for all Operations Turnaround requirements and is the turnaround department primary incident investigator;
- Participates in the Unit start-up PSSR process; maintains a library of event job plans, using Maximo as the system of record;
- All other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Understands, creates and maintains a visible commitment to process and personal safety, as well as the safety of others; adheres to NWR’s Core Competencies to drive results and a high performing culture;
- 10 years of experience supporting turnaround/shutdown events;
- Strong refinery operations background in process operations;
- Experience with business system data integrity management and system upkeep;
- Achievement of delivery of results with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail;
- Self-confident enough to seek assistance with difficult or complex issues;
- Self-aware, able to recognize when stress or fatigue is impacting personal performance and to take steps to mitigate.
- Turnaround/shutdown strategy and management best practices, business processes and methods;
- Strong experience in refinery operations and turnaround planning practices, contract management and administration best practices business processes and methods;
- Previous job planning and field coordination, including problem solving and driving schedules;
- Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and industrial scheduling software;
- Strong interpersonal, analytical and facilitation skills; ability to communicate technical information and articulate the plan to non-technical staff, technical staff and management, including executives;
- Ability to manage multiple jobs and changing priorities;
- Strong coaching ability, ability to manage multiple task assignments in a matrix organization and the ability to work to and meet deadlines and schedules.
