**THE ROLE**:
The **Field Geologist** works collaboratively with Denison’s _Technical Services Team_ to support advancing our portfolio of uranium projects in the Northern Athabasca Basin. The **Field Geologist** will be responsible for providing field-based technical support to Denison’s 2025 field programs, and includes collecting, interpreting, and modelling field and subsurface data.

There are **4 **vacancies available for this **fixed-term contract** as detailed below:

- 2 positions will commence on or around _**January 15, 2025**_, with an expected duration of approximately _**8 months**_.
- 2 positions will start on or around _**March 1, 2025**_, with an anticipated term of approximately_**6 months**_.

**OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE**:
The **Field Geologist **bringsstrong technical skills and progressive experience in all aspects of the mining life cycle, with direct experience related to exploration and development activities and hands-on experience overseeing drilling operations. As a reliable, highly motivated, safety oriented, project-driven geologist, the **Field Geologist** has solid organizational skills, a strong sense of responsibility and demonstrated effectiveness in collaborating with others to achieve results. Additional qualifications and attributes include:

- Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geological Engineering or equivalent from a recognized post-secondary institution is required.
- A minimum of 3 years of applicable work experience in mineral exploration or mining, preferably uranium, is preferred.
- Solid organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently and effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills that support safe, collaborative and inclusive relationships with peers and contractors within a remote workplace environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate, persuade and influence others.
- Adept at managing performance against key milestone deliverables.
- Strong problem-solving skills combined with a continuous improvement mindset to adapt in a dynamic and changing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to think critically to effectively evaluate and resolve complex problems.
- An uncompromising commitment to always working safely, and reporting hazards or unsafe conditions immediately.
- Possession of a Drivers’ License that is valid and in good standing, and the willingness to operate/be trained to operate vehicles in remote areas is required; Experience driving an ATV is an asset.
- Certified in First Aid is strongly preferred.
- Willingness and ability to carry out work tasks and duties outdoors up to 25% of the time, team lifting to 50 lbs regularly, and with varying hours of work (up to 11 hours per day while in the field).
- Ability to wear and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and assigned; CSA-approved steel toe boots are mandatory for most tasks.

**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Accurately log, photograph and sample drill core, including high-grade uranium mineralization.
- Collect hydrogeological data through pump and injection testing.
- Install downhole pressure monitoring devices.
- Ensure that all geoscientific data is collected accurately and stored appropriately.
- Coordinate drill pad and trail preparation, spotting and stopping holes, and rig moves.
- Collect wireline geophysical data upon completion of drill holes.
- Assist in the interpretation and modelling of the geological and geochemical results.
- Generate drill targets, collaborate on drillhole planning and permitting, execute drill programs, and ensure the collection of quality geological data.
