Overview:

**Responsibilities**:

- Plan and conduct research, studies, and in-depth analysis on energy related issues, including new developments, industry trends, initiatives, policies, and practices
- Prepare presentations, reports, policy papers, and other documentation to support policy recommendations and provide advice to the Board and senior management
- Understand, interpret, and explain OEB rules, regulations and procedures to assist staff, senior management, regulated entities and stakeholders
- Facilitates stakeholder engagement in the policy development process and communicates new policies to affected stakeholders

Qualifications:

- Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Economics, Public Policy/Administration, or a related discipline.
- 8 years of progressive experience in policy research, policy development, analysis, or related experience in the energy sector
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant codes, legislation, including DSC, RSC, Codes of Conduct, the Electricity Act and the OEB Act
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with stakeholders and partners
- Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines, work under pressure, and balance multiple priorities at once
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and adaptability to interact with all levels in an organization
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, prioritization, problem solving and time management skills
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
