**W**e** **are** looking for interns for the **below Summer Student Contract Opportunities**. **Depending on your team assignment, here is a glimpse of what you will do here (In addition to other administrative duties, as assigned).

**Underwriting, Commercial Lines & Personal Lines**
- Support the underwriting team by processing and amending new business, endorsements, renewals and cancellations within established authority level in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Work closely to develop and maintain positive business partnerships with brokers and co-workers.

**Claims**
- Prepare forms and correspondence to insurance clients, vendors and legal representatives.
- Manage file storage and retrieval process for closed files.
- Open new claims and assign appropriate claims adjusters.
- Process payments on claim files and input data to support new claims intake and handling.

**Administrative Support**
- Perform various recurring administrative tasks such as shipping of documents, equipment or correspondence, entering data, scanning or filing, requisitioning equipment or supplies, setting up workstations, etc.
- Manage correspondence and ensure the quality and accuracy of information.
- Transcribe data from documents or databases using standardized practices.

**Accounting Services**
- Accurately process and verify payments received, reconcile bank deposits and verify deposit totals.
- Prepare, compile and dispatch invoices, statements, reports and cheques.
- Verify and post banking information, review new business, amend payment schedules, and process premium refunds for accounts.
- Handle unresolved issues regarding payments, disbursements, billing arrangements, payment methods and account discrepancies.

**What you bring to the table**:

- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree/college diploma.
- Available to work with us full-time, 35 hours per week, for Summer 2024 Term (May to August).
- Must be an active student during their internship OR returning to school in Fall 2024 or Winter 2025.
- You are passionate about insurance and continuing education.
