Position Overview

Integro is currently looking for experienced Health & Safety Manager. Reports to the President and works closely with the VP of Operations, Field Coordinator, Chief Financial Officer and Human Resources on all matters. The Health & Safety Manager will provide internal administrative support to the field/site team and have full knowledge in the overall health and safety of the plant. The Health and Safety Administrator will report directly to the Health and Safety Manager. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Admin
- Work in a team environment by demonstrating passion, commitment, dedication, honesty and loyalty
- Effectively maintain accident report files, incident files, accident investigations and other safety related reports, regulations and issues and
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; and
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Both administrative and technical in nature.

Education
- Bachelor’s Degree/ Diploma in Health and Safety management or equivalent experience or education;
- JHSC Member certified; and
- Full Health and Safety training required (Working at Heights, WHMIS, First Aid, Ariel lift and stages trained elevated lift of platforms etc.).

Years of Experience
- 5+ years of health and safety experience in a manufacturing and field operations industry.

Working Conditions
- Work may involve some exposure to usual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and loud noises;
- Promote H&S in the office/plant/site;
- Work environment requires wearing PPE in all areas of the plant/site;
- Full health and safety training required (Working at Heights, WHMIS, First Aid, Ariel lift and stages/elevated lift of platforms, etc.);
- In-depth knowledge of Ontario Health and Safety guidelines, practices, and legislation;
- At times requires visits to various sites;
- Flexible to work overtime as required.

Senior Level
- Thorough knowledge of Procore, MyComply and 4S
- Experience in creating policies and reporting;
- Work closely to train and develop other H&S support;
- Ability to develop and execute internal and external reporting processes for incidents, trends and analysis;
- Participate as needed on special department projects;
- Develop and execute internal and external reporting process for incidents, trends and analysis;
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills;
- Be familiar with all Company safety goals and ensure that they are met; and
- Discretion, judgement and tact to handle confidential information

Job Specific Duties
- Ensure all the latest updates are placed on the H&S boards throughout the company (plant/office/sites);
- Update and maintain SOP’s and all other safety awareness and training documentation;
- Assist with coordinating safety and health related activities for the site to prevent occupational injury/illness related losses and minimize future liabilities by evaluating risks and establishing appropriate loss control/reduction activities;
- Coordinate with the GC’s onsite to ensure safety procedures are followed;
- Conduct safety inspections on site;
- Manage on site workplace injuries and return to work;
- Update and maintain the SDS binder, Health & Safety Guide for Office/Plant, Production and Site Project Guides;
- Track and maintain all training documents, expiration dates and run training record reports in My Comply;
- Schedule and coordinate all H&S training for employees (i.e. Machinery, Forklift, First Aid, Supervisor Awareness, WHMIS, Working at Heights)
- Conduct daily site audits to ensure that installers and staff are following the health and safety requirements;
- Work closely with our third-party safety company on all safety matters and tool box talks;
- Conduct New Hire Safety Orientation’s and provide the required training;
- Schedule and coordinate all health and safety trainings for site employees;
- Oversee for Ontario/BC, lead and manage plant practices, procedures, standards and reporting regarding safety and workers compensation;
- Manage and assist outside regulatory visits and informs management on any issues that may exist and takes corrective actions to stay in conformance with regulations;
- Provide support to the plant managers/supervisors and take initiative to ensure that safety policies and procedures are implemented and being followed;
