Labourer - Driver Helper

Calgary, Canada Capital Staffing Solutions Inc. Full time

Capital Staffing Solutions is looking for ongoing Driver Helpers As a Driver Helper, you are responsible for assisting the truck driver in the duties and responsibilities of waste collection and management in a front-loading garbage truck. Some specific duties of a Driver Helper may include:

- Assisting the driver in safe operation of the vehicle by directing the driver in backing up the vehicle and in close space maneuvering
- Assisting the driver by moving garbage bins and other duties involved in the safe and efficient operation of front-loader truck
- Operating the equipment on truck to compact trash/materials into vehicle
- Assisting in cleaning and sanitizing the truck to ensure best health practices
- Auditing waste collection vehicle for proper equipment prior to leaving branch (i.e., broom, shovel, etc.).

In addition to physical stamina and the ability to work in all types of weather conditions, a Driver Helper should have good communication skills and be able to work well in a team environment. They should also be able to follow safety protocols and have a basic understanding of recycling and environmental issues.

**Work Hours**:

- Full-time opportunity
- Monday Friday
- Start time: 4:00 am
- Average 10/12 hours a day

**Location**:Calgary, Alberta

**Requirements**:

- General Labour experience (preferred)
- Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Must have steel-toed work boots above the ankle and a high-visibility vest
- Must be available to work full-time, Monday-Friday, 10/12 hour days
