At the present time, our company is looking for one (1) innovative individual to join our team as a Machinist at our Edmonton location.

**Vertical Lathe Machinist**

Terms of Employment: Permanent Full-time

Skill Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent - Postsecondary education in the machining field

Product Experience/Knowledge:
Security and Safety: Bondable, safety conscious, steel toe boots

Other Information:

- Follow all required safety procedures
- Fast paced environment
- Operate metalworking machine tools, such as Vertical & Horizontal Lathes, Drill Press, Bench Grinder, Hand Grinder to machine parts to specifications.
- Follows strict standards by following OTR Wheel Engineering’s Quality Program, Work Instructions, processes and procedures.
- Use manufactured drawings and/or detailed work orders to complete task at hand.
- Fabricate, assemble parts and modifies tooling into completed hardware units using jigs, fixtures, hand tools and power tools.
- Lay out and verify dimensions of parts using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, Vernier's and scales.
- Calculate and set controls to regulate machining, or enter commands to retrieve, input or edit computerized machine controls.
- Follow all required safety procedures and perform in a manner that protects the health and safety of all employees.
- Utilizes and abides by ISO-9001-2015 requirements
- Use the 5s program in the day-to-day housekeeping activities
- Make recommendations to continually improve the process and procedures

Product Experience/Knowledge: Forklift operator, overhead and jib crane an asset

**Salary**: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
