You must live in Stratford Ontario or close proximity to be considered for this role. It is important to know the neighbourhoods in our city. This job involves driving

**Responsibilities**:
Must have your own vehicle. Daily driving to client homes to pick up dogs for their walks. Walking dogs in groups (we do not offer private walks) and returning dogs home after their walk.

Basic training of dogs (all training provided.)

Picking up after dogs during walks (we provide the poop bags)

Communicating often with business owner and clients (dog owners).

**Requirements**:
Must be 18 years of age or older

Must have a valid police check or be willing to obtain one

Must have access to a reliable vehicle and G2/G license (bikes and buses will not be acceptable)

Must be personable and have great customer service skills

Must have personal or professional experience with dogs

Must be comfortable walking strong dogs

Must be physically fit and able to walk in all weather conditions-3x45 minute walks per day

Must have a working smart phone as we will be using an app based scheduling service

Must be neat in appearance

Must be trainable and a good team player

Must be familiar with the streets of Stratford

**Skills**:Reliability is a big must for this job

Exceptional time-management skills

Passion for animals and knowledge of canine behaviour

Must be able to walk strong dogs who pull and multiple dogs at once

Must have great communication skills

Must work well independently

Part-time-20-25 hours per week, including a few Saturdays a month. Hours of work
- 8:45- 3:00pm each day.

Starting pay based on experience. $17 to start as our training rate and will increase as you work through our training program. Vehicle compensation is provided when you use your vehicle to shuttle dogs.

Our walkers are insured through ProFur.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 25 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus pay
