Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Regional Equipment Supervisor. Reporting to the Operations Manager, Lower Mainland, Aggregates & Asphalt, the Regional Equipment Supervisor is primarily responsible for the effective development and implementation of predictive, preventative and corrective maintenance programs of mobile equipment / fleet management along with providing support as required to the aggregate depot supervisor for the aggregate depots in the lower mainland. This positon is based in Vancouver.

**What You’ll Get To Do**:

- Provide overall expertise and guidance in the area of maintenance for mobile and plant equipment.
- Develop, implement and oversee mobile equipment management, maintenance and replacement processes to maximize productivity and minimize downtime. This includes rationalizing and optimizing fleet capacity, establishing replacement and major overhaul schedules and implementing preventative mobile maintenance procedures.
- Develop and implement equipment preventative maintenance and major overhaul processes for reducing overall maintenance costs, maximize productivity and minimize plant downtime.
- Develop and implement mobile operator training programs on mobile equipment maintenance inspections and efficient operation.
- Provides support to depot supervisor to Prioritize, schedule, coordinate and delegate work assignments and responsibilities to loader and scale operators
- Provides support to depot supervisor to oversee the offloading of barges and proper transfer of products to stockpiles.
- As required reviews and approves timecards, schedules bank and vacation time.
- Enforces compliance with safety rules, policies and procedures; coordinates site safety programs and training in providing a safe work environment.
- Participate in annual maintenance budget reviews.
- Maintain a strong partnership with CCA and Purchasing departments
- Provide relief to depot supervisor as required

**Who we are looking for**:

- 5 - 7 years of practical experience in mobile & plant maintenance is preferred
- Experience in aggregate/mining production, logistics, or heavy industry is an asset
- Experiences in the following are highly preferred: Root Cause Analysis, Root Cause Failure Analysis, and computerized maintenance management systems
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering, post-secondary education or a Red Seal Trade Qualification and/or equivalent post-secondary education
- Demonstrated practical maintenance management and planning skills in preventive/predictive/corrective maintenance techniques
- Knowledge of safety and WSBC regulations and policies
- Strong oral and written communication skills and effective interpersonal skills
- Time management and conflict resolution skills and experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Good observation, critical thinking and excellent organizational skills

**Work Environment**:

- Role operates primarily a professional office environment, but requires conducting business at manufacturing locations and job sites where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, and elevated noise levels
