The Executive Chef is the most senior leader on the culinary team. They are the face and personality of the Blue Mountain food story. They demonstrate an unrelenting passion for food and the development of employees with a similar passion. The Executive Chef represents the resort at special events and Public Relations activities.

**WHAT WILL I BE DOING?**
- Developing brand inspired, unforgettable food experiences that will be the highlight of a guest's visit.
- Coordinating, and purchasing food supplies in collaboration with kitchen leaders and purchasing team.
- Developing a gold standard career development program that supports the on-going progression of employees passionate about advancing in the Culinary sector
- Nurturing a culture of sustainability programming that mitigates food waste and uses environmentally friendly equipment.
- Planning, coordinating, and directing the food preparation and cooking activities in multiple kitchens.
- Demonstrating ownership of budgeting process and completing annual departmental operating budgets as required; training and communicates budget requirements to subordinate leaders to ensure monthly results are achieved.
- Based on defined expectations, ensuring appropriate resources and develops training and communication for departmental service delivery and operations that create revolutionary guest experiences and achieve OKRs
- Ensuring and advocating for the appropriate resources, training and communication that delivers a highly productive, efficient environment with mínimal downtime and produces high quality product(s).
- Promoting, developing, participating and delivering programming and training that unites employees around purpose and fun and therefore results in high employee engagement and high retention and return rates.
- Fostering a culture of teamwork that achieves the company's mission and targets.
- Promoting, developing, participating and delivering programming and training that ensures compliance with all legislated requirements and company policies and processes.
- Ensuring all documentation and training required by government agencies pertaining to risk and safety are in compliance, are completed and exceed minimum requirements.
- Actively participating in the selection of subordinate leaders and front-line team members.

**WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?**
- Red Seal certification required.
- Proven ability to create unique and interesting food offerings.
- A minimum of 10 years culinary experience with at least 5 years in a Sous-Chef capacity.
- Vast experience in a wide variety of F&B service offerings.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of all aspects of kitchen operations.
- Must be an effective leader, manager, trainer, coach, and administrator with excellent organizational abilities and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
