**Description**:
We are seeking a skilled **Commercial Advisor** to join our team in our Calgary office, reporting to the Manager, HPC Commercial Operations. In this role you will administer multi-million-dollar commercial agreements as part of the Heartland Petrochemical Complex. The Commercial Advisor will be involved in day-to-day commercial operations of the plant and manage multiple commercial agreements requiring detailed attention and understanding. The Advisor will contribute to deliver on the commercial development and operations strategy, as well as the financial and operating performance objectives that drive the business performance of HPC.

**Key Activities and Responsibilities**:

- Manage terms and conditions of various commercial agreements that relate to the HPC assets
- Coordination with other stakeholders on strategy and execution, or problem solving
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with counterparties
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to maintain, or improve upon processes, as part of managing particular supply and logistics related to this role
- Provide input and analysis for annual budgeting process
- Negotiate and execute amendments as necessary
- Engage and collaborate with internal stakeholders
- Take-on any additional ad-hoc projects to support commercial functions
- Ensure up-to-date information on fees and costs are provided for economic model/forecasting
- Inform management on progress, provide comprehensive updates, and elevate any issues in a timely manner
- Develop and present issues/concerns to senior management monthly as required

**Education, Skills and Experience**:

- University degree in Engineering or Commerce’s
- A minimum of 5+ years of industry experience, preferably in petrochemical or oil and gas
- Experience managing both commercial and operating agreements
- Budget development and analysis experience
- Motivated individual able to work independently and as a team player
- Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills

**Hours**:
Standard: Monday - Friday 8 hours/day
