**Summary**:
The Leasing Specialist/Agent is responsible for achieving and maintaining maximum occupancy within their portfolio, hosting open house events, marketing available units, and preparing and completing Tenant Applications and Residential Tenancy Agreements.

The Leasing Specialist will consistently deliver distinctive customer service and exceptional operational performance in order to meet defined deliverables and goals. This position has a complete understanding of Devon’s marketing and leasing strategy and performance targets, working in conjunction with the Executive Team to realize these objectives.

**Responsibilities**:

- Supporting the overall leasing and resident relations function for the assigned portfolio including administration of all required paperwork, evaluating and monitoring metrics that include vacancy, leases signed, move in, move out, notices, rescinded notices, etc.
- Monitoring all advertising and media channels, promotional programs and signage for assigned properties and recommend new ads as necessary.
- Facilitating the signing of leases, schedules, assignments, addendum forms, tenancy agreements and all supporting documents, and ensuring their timely and accurate completion.
- Maintaining the prospective resident database and ensure that all leads are responded to expediently and all traffic documented appropriately.
- Maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of the properties including availability of suite types and layouts, common areas, amenities of the building(s) and the surrounding neighborhoods.
- Scheduling appointments for property viewings and recording all activity in the property management database.
- Inspecting vacant suites daily to ensure they are in excellent condition for showings.
- Ensuring compliance with all legislation (i.e. BC Residential Tenancy Act, Fire Code and Occupational Health and Safety Act).
- Provide superior customer service, dealing effectively and fairly with resident requests and concerns in a timely fashion, involving the Property Manager when necessary.

**Qualifications**:
**Education & Experience**:

- Degree or diploma in related field such as Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce or Communications is preferred.
- A minimum of 1-year experience in residential property management, real estate sales or marketing, hospitality, seniors housing, or other relevant industries.
- An understanding of all applicable laws, legislation and rights concerning resident-landlord relations.
- Knowledge of the BC Residential Tenancy Act.

Skills & Abilities:

- Computer proficiency, including MS Office, Excel, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat is required, and the desire and ability to learn new systems property management system.
- Data analytic skills and proficiency with numbers.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to develop cooperative working relationships at all levels.
- Strong attention to detail, time-management, prioritizing, and multi-tasking skills.
- Extremely well organized, disciplined, and able to work well in a busy team environment.
- Proven customer service skills with the ability to listen to others, collaborate and resolve conflict.
- Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with internal and external stakeholders, clients and other professionals.
- Detail oriented with ability to work independently and prioritize workload.
- Demonstrate a high level of integrity and professionalism.
- Energetic, responsive team player with the ability to take initiative and work in a fast-paced environment.

**Requirements of the Leasing Specialist role**:

- A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle at all times.
- Ability to work flexible hours - including evenings and weekends as required.

**Salary**: $55,000.00 per year

- Property leasing: 1 year (preferred)
