**Toronto Beach Club **is currently hiring **PASTRY COOKS **to join our team

Reporting to the Chef De Cuisine, the** PASTRY COOK **will have previous pastry kitchen experience including decorating, baking, preparing pastry and desserts.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES**:

- Responsible for creating and preparing confectionery and other pastry-based items in accordance with existing menu
- Inspect the quality of ingredients and accurately measure them for specific recipes
- Execute pastry orders as per spec and garnishing requirements
- Ensure compliance with food handling safety regulation, health and safety workplace policies and procedures

**SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Minimum 2 years of pastry cook, baker, or similar
- Completion of related pastry culinary program, is an asset
- Food Safe certification, is an asset
- Creative ability in designing and decorating
- Workable knowledge of kitchen equipment
- Solid understanding of standard measurements and portions
- Must be able to follow oral and written instructions
- Excellent team player; camaraderie with all team members, BOH and FOH
- Must exhibit a high degree of professionalism; (i.e. punctuality, dedication, well-groomed, mannerly)
- Energetic with a passion for food and a positive outlook
- Must have physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, mornings and nights
