**Description**:
Are you a seasoned Ag Sales person or Agronomist? **Corteva Agriscience** in Canada is hiring for a **Strategic Account Manager (SAM)**. This role is responsible for facilitating and implementing the sales process with selected Strategic Accounts and aiming to establish a sustainable business relationship, while coordinating the support team that will interact with each of the selected accounts. This role for Southern Saskatchewan will use a value-based approach to promote the entire Corteva portfolio of seed and crop protection product lines.

**What You'll Do**:
**Customer Face Time/Direct Grower Activities**:

- Conducting Business Analysis and Needs Assessment of Assigned Accounts
- Executing Comprehensive Call Strategy
- Delivering or Facilitating Advanced Agronomy
- Communicating Product Knowledge
- Negotiating & Coordinating Value Proposition Delivery
- Meet assigned unit and revenue targets

**Internal Planning/Cross Functional Coordination**:

- Develop Value Proposition To Assist Growers To Achieve Higher Productivity
- Lead the Coordination of the Support Team To Deliver On Business Needs Analysis
- Coordinate Customer Activities To Provide Support & Strengthen Relationship

**Manage Invoice & Customer Service Delivery**:

- Champion the Invoice Process to All Assigned Accounts
- Coordinate with key stakeholders to execute ordering, supply and delivery of all customer invoicing

**Strategic Account Coverage**:

- Responsible for managing a list of 20-25 Strategic Accounts stretching across company defined Sales Areas

**Additional Management Functions**
- Understand customer needs and provide feedback to the organization on product performance, program effectiveness, and competitive activity. Suggest improvements or alternative tactics to help achieve commercial area and territory goals.
- Continue to develop professionally by remaining current with new technologies, management innovations, and sales management developments.
- Decision making responsibilities with the ability to provide solutions to customers within the parameters of established policies and procedures and to maximize customer satisfaction.
- Ability to make strategic decisions regarding sales and territory management (selection, transitions, etc.) that will have an impact to the results and outcomes of future sales and performance in a specific sales geography.
- The size of responsibility with this position will vary dependent on geography and current business volume of an assigned grower contact list.

**Qualifications**:** Education**:

- Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Business, Marketing required, will consider other degrees with related field sales experience.

**What Skills You Need**:

- 10 years of Ag sales or field agronomy experience, managing and coaching individuals.

- Crop protection product offerings that are utilized in primary crop markets
- Competitive product/service offerings; local agricultural markets; value chain and crop production practices
- Environmental, regulatory, and stewardship requirements for the various technology products
- Company policies and procedures

**Demonstrated skills in**:

- Selling, negotiating, influencing, conflict resolution, handling objections and coaching
- Using computer hardware software/intranet to generate reports, territory plans, inventory data, and to complete administrative duties

**Demonstrated ability to**:

- Build/maintain strong relationships with key strategic customers, people of key industry/market influence, and internal partners and teammates
- Work effectively within a team environment
- Lead and influence teams/projects and coach individuals in accomplishing defined objectives/goals
- Understands the needs and values of partners and customers and to develop solutions to satisfy/retain
- Get results by taking initiative, overcoming obstacles & finding creative solutions
- Work independently with minimum supervision and operate within budget
- Work in and adapt to a rapidly changing business environment

**ADDITIONAL INFORMATION**

**Overnight Travel**:This position requires extensive travel, some of which will be overnight. Estimated overnight travel will be about 20% per year.
