Our Kingsville Head Office Location is currently seeking a Logistics Planner to join our Logistics team. The essential function of this position is coordinating all shipments from need identification to delivery.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Oversee the timely delivery of goods.
- Maintain delivery schedules and track deliveries to ensure they are completed.
- Update and provide tracking information to customers and management.
- Monitor and report driver issues like accidents, safety concerns, or licensing issues.
- Analyze delivery costs and recommend more cost-effective methods of transportation.
- Negotiate contracts with outside transportation companies.
- Assign drivers to routes.
- Receive and follow-up on customer complaints; investigate delivery issues.
- Re-planning exception orders with reason codes.
- Use Routes (internal TMS) for carrier selection, rate shopping, and tender process.
- Enter all change requests; planning assignments, carrier changes, and carrier rates.
- Regular communication with customers.
- Participate in weekly or monthly progress calls.
- Stay abreast on latest shipment options, government regulations, and safety procedures.

**Education/Background Requirements**:

- University degree required; Business degree preferred.
- At least three years’ experience in Supply Chain required.

**Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required**

Proficient with MS Office Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to learn software systems and processes quickly.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire confidence and credibility with internal and external team members, suppliers, and customers.
- Strong organizational, communication, problem solving, and time management skills.
- Strong geographical and mathematical background.

**Working Conditions**:

- Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
- Use of company computer and phone.
