AWC Water Solutions is looking to appoint an experienced Purchasing Agent. The successful applicant will have a solid background in executing effective procurement strategies, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. A Bachelor's degree in a related field and strong skills in negotiation and organization are desirable.

**Overview**:
The Purchasing Agent is responsible for executing procurement activities, ensuring effective purchasing decisions, and maintaining strong supplier relationships.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Execute and manage purchase orders for goods and services.
- Negotiate terms and pricing with suppliers, seeking advantageous agreements.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods and services by tracking orders, managing expediting, and communicating with suppliers.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and related data.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth procurement processes.
- Conduct Supplier Performance Management meetings with suppliers.
- Address and resolve supplier-related issues and discrepancies.
- Contribute to purchasing strategy development and implementation.
- Stay informed about market trends and new products or services.

**Requirements**:
Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or related field preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in a purchasing role.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of supply chain and inventory management systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience using QuickBooks and Power BI would be considered an asset.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
