**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Business Office Manager, the Site Scheduler plays a pivotal role in managing scheduling for both Villa Marguerite and Sprucewood Place. This role primarily involves the coordination of schedules for HCAs and LPNs under the AUPE collective agreement. Additionally, The Site Scheduler must demonstrate flexibility and proficiency as the organization transitions to a computerized scheduling system. This is an AUPE unionized position.

**Please Note that this position is not eligible for the $2 top-up, as it is reserved for HCAs direct care only.**

**Qualifications**:

- 2 years or more of experience with scheduling.
- Certified HCA or equivalent.
- Clear criminal record security clearance with Vulnerable Sector included (no more than 6 months old)
- Satisfactory proof of vaccinations, including COVID-19,
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Appropriately dressed.
- Effective written and oral communication skills in the English language
- Must be able to work independently, and as part of the interdisciplinary team.

**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Efficiently manage and coordinate staff scheduling for AUPE HCAs and LPNs at Villa Marguerite and Sprucewood Place.
- Collect and maintain accurate staff availability records.
- Prepare and publish Care Calendar and Team Assignments three months in advance for all employees and continually update schedules as needed.
- Ensure the timely and precise publication of schedules for all employees.
- Responsively handle sick calls and shift cancellations, ensuring immediate adjustments as necessary.
- Source and confirm shift coverage arising from factors such as vacation time, leaves of absence, or illness.
- Proactively anticipate staffing requirements based on growth estimates and promptly inform management of any shortcomings for further attention.
- Uphold scheduling standards in accordance with AUPE collective agreement.
- Undertake clerical support duties, data input, and maintain filing systems for schedules.
- Performs other related duties as required.

**Salary**: $21.51-$26.94 per hour
