**Job Posting: Soccer Instructor - Girls Soccer Program**

**About Us**:Taking Kids Out of Poverty (TKOP) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing opportunities for youth from underserved communities to engage in sports and recreational activities. Our mission is to empower young people and provide them with the tools and resources they need to thrive, both on and off the field.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead soccer training sessions and practices for girls aged 5-14 focusing on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Create engaging and age-appropriate drills and activities to improve players' technical abilities and tactical understanding of the game.
- Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to players to help them improve their performance and confidence.
- Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere where all participants feel valued and supported.
- Collaborate with other staff members to coordinate program logistics, including scheduling, equipment management, and communication with parents/guardians.
- Serve as a positive role model for participants, demonstrating good sportsmanship, respect, and integrity at all times.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience playing and/or coaching soccer is preferred.
- Knowledge of soccer rules, techniques, and strategies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with and motivate young athletes.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with youth from diverse backgrounds.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed to accommodate program activities and events.
- Experience working with marginalized populations, such as low-income individuals and racialized and black youth. This experience should include understanding their unique needs, challenges, and effective strategies for support and empowerment.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Sports Coaching/Instructor: 3 years (preferred)
