We are currently seeking an experienced System Administrator to manage Enterprise on-premises environments and cloud infrastructure. Broad responsibilities will include working with our Infrastructure, Product, Development, and Architecture teams to facilitate the design, development, and maintenance of our on-premises environments and Azure cloud infrastructure.**Competencies Critical for Success**:

**Primary Responsibilities**:
- Provide proactive and reactive technical expertise with a hands-on approach, addressing issues and improvements for our 24x7 Canadian Health Care operation.
- Participate in our well-underway journey to fully implemented Cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate with specialized teams, including security, networking, database, and service delivery, who will also provide you with support.
- Monitor datacenter health using existing management tools and respond to issues as they arise.
- Help to build, test, deploy and maintain QHRs infrastructure stack as needed.
- Perform server administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, event log warning and error research, and resource monitoring.
- Participate in continuous service improvements of the automation repository used in managing our on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
- Interact with Customer Service and other teams to assist in troubleshooting, identifying root cause, and providing technical support when needed.

**Qualifications, Education and Experience Requirements**:

**Required Skills**:

- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- Relevant IT/Computer Science degree or diploma, or equivalent combination of education and 5 or more years of experience.
- Virtualization experience. (VMware and Hyper-V)
- Managing SAN infrastructure with preference to Fiber channel experience.
- PowerShell development and automation deployment of large-scale infrastructure. Experience with other scripting languages will be considered an asset.
Additional skills
- Experience in automating system administration, reporting, and capacity management.
- Experience with troubleshooting tools, such as Splunk, SysInternals (ProcMon, ProcEx, ).
- Strong experience in implementing and managing hardware and software using security best practices.
- Experience or understanding of Identity and Access Management concepts and principles.
- Experience in Cloud Computing (specifically Microsoft Azure IaaS and PaaS).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and Terragrunt.
- Excellent documentation and communication, using ITIL or other industry standards.

- Fair amount of time flexibility while maintaining overlap with your colleagues, who are primarily in Calgary and Kelowna.
